Stone Carving at TGS

Miles Chapin spent the first day of his residency working with the 6th grade today.  They got an overview of stone carving, sketched out their ideas, and began carving into soapstone.  The stone was much harder than they expected and it took some strength to carve.  They have the beginnings of some nice pieces.
