Art Signs Show Off Art Works on Campus

Thanks to the generosity of The Clowes Foundation, we now have the beginning of an outdoor sculpture tour. Five spots have student artwork and metal signs for each. The signs talk about the visiting artist and describe the process students used to make the work of art. I hope you will go on a tour and see all five.

K-1 and 4 Visit The BMAC

Students enjoyed the show. The Glass in All Senses show was the most favorite exhibit, followed closely by the felt scenes by artist author Sally Mavor.

A Great Time to Take Kids to see NYC Galleries

There are three fabulous shows up in Chelsea that your kids will love. These will be up until mid October and are all in easy walking distance of each other. New York is beautiful in the fall, if you can find a spare weekend. I hope you will check them out. Nick Cave's dancing people in costumes covered in toys is worth the trip in itself (at Mary Boone). Down the street is Richard Serra's maze of beautifully rusted steel (Gagosian) and Do Ho Suh has a huge dollhouse like model of his own apartment building. It is complete with dirty dishes, a teenager's heavily postered room, and a huge crash on one side (LehmannMaupin).

Also of note are our own local art stars Eric Aho (DC Moore) and Ethan Murrow (Winston Wachter) . Both are great shows and very child friendly.
